Gardening

We've started a garden. Well sort of. At Jared's brother Jordan's house we've dug up a nice patch of dirt, but it'll still need some work. And we've got seedlings started in our apartment! All we've got now are peas, corn, and one lonely spinach plant. We're going to have more peas than we know what to do with. Jared planted like 30 starters with peas and so far only two haven't showed up. It's the first time either of us has had a garden that we're in charge of so it'll definitely be an adventure. Here are our little plants that we're so proud of!

This is the lone spinach plant! I think we're most proud of this one since it's the only one and Jared planted like 24.

This is the corn. They're a little harder to see than the peas. There are 17 of these.

And the peas. These showed up first and are coming along great! I love seeing how much they grow everyday. We have 39 and a couple that haven't quite broken through the last little layer of dirt.

Needless to say we'll be sharing with some people. 39 pea plants will probably be more than enough for two people.

A new Vehicle

With me driving to Neosho every week day for school Jared and I decided it was time to get a vehicle that gets better gas mileage than our Alero. So today we bought a 2004 Honda Shadow!!! It's a beautiful motorcycle! I must admit I'm a little scared to learn how to ride it, but I know that it'll be fun, and I'm a fast learner, so I should be zipping around on it in no time. It came with a back rest/ luggage rack for the passenger and hard saddle bags! We got it for a steal too!

New things

I'm so excited for some of the new things that we have in our home. I feel a little silly about some of them. We got a new table!! Our dinning room was looking so empty without it. We also got some black out curtains for our room so Jared can sleep better during the day. Though, it's kinda sad, they don't work as well as the blanket we were using. We got a new and bigger garbage can. This is the one I feel so silly about being excited about! But I hated that other little garbage can! Ugh! And it has a lid!! It keeps the stink in a little better!

This semester is kicking my butt! My Tae Kwon Do class is killer! There hasn't been a single class where I didn't either get blisters or want to throw up, but I still love it. Because of the snow all my classes have decided they're going to give us more homework!! Not that they weren't giving us plenty! Well except for my history class, there's the same like 5 assignments there.

Jared loves his job even if he works nights. It kinda stinks though, because we have like no time together because I'm sleeping when he gets home, and then I go to school and he goes to sleep, and when I get home he goes to work, or he's already at work, or we'll spend like two hours together then I'll go to sleep and he can't because he got up a couple hours earlier. :(  We'll get through it though.
